to the guy who 'made' me cry

hello.
i don't know your name nor where you're from but if you're feeling bad for giving me the wrong instruction, i'm telling you please do not worry.
people all make mistakes and i'm sure that was done purely unintentionally.

well, in fact i have to thank you. at least i was able to feel the number 3 tag and didn't need to come in last.

can't really say why i cried but i guess it was due to shock. after all the mental preperation this really was not any of the scenarios i've prepared myself for.

moreover, if you haven't had made me cry, i would have never, never, ever gotten the attention of some of the cuter guys present at the meet. honestly. not like i was able to get their number or anything but well, they noticed me. (big deal)

the down side however would be that i'll have to change my rashguard or bear the embarrassemt whenever i wear it. 'cos it has the big blue 'GILL' words splattered on the front which everyone can distinctively recognise and remember. "wasn't that the girl who cried" kind of thing. *urgh. can't imagine i did something so embarrasing... ...

in anycase, just don't feel bad. i've got much to be thankful for. sorry i cried.

i got to be john's assistant coach today
(:i was coach lynette of CEO for today. cool! it was SUPER FUN!!!
i got to shout out times and say 8,9 GO!!! AND get to see swimmers train in pain.
haha. ok, that was mean but what was really fun was shouting out times and seriously, when you re up on land watching the swimmers swim, it all seems so easy and the set seems to go by real fast.
but, i definitely can't say the same when i'm swimming.
this is one day which i'll always remember. i mean how often do you get a chance to skip trg and be a CEO coach?
so this is definitely one day to remember

(:john and ting will be leaving for Japan tmr and i'm required by him to go send him off tmr morn!! that means i'll get to skip a bit of trg cause i gotta reach the airport by 7am. will do gym and swim a little before i head to the airport. can't believe i m so hardworking :phad dinner with ting, pei shan, christel, nick, wanting, leo, my bro and sis tonight at swensens, toa payoh. we celebrated ting's birthday (her birthday is only tmr but since she's leaving for Japan tmr, we're celebrating it today) and had lots of fun talking, telling jokes, gossiping and laughing at leonard's ez link card picture. russ came down at a later time to finish up the birthday cake and to say bye.

some sentiments are the same..as in that i've been there and know exactly how it feels..
taking other people's timings get slightly boring after a while. then i'll be wishing i was the one doing the sprints. maybe it's 'cos my training isn't as tough as the centre of excellence's. which is probably the case..

however, echoing thorpes' words, swimming is just following that one black line. it's boring.

it's been raining the whole day. and it's cold. can't lug myself to swim.


hence, i went to run.. threw in sit ups and crunches as well. for the sake of getting my skin fold to shrink of course.

i realised it's impossible to beat the big three.. wsstpnus.. and maybe ssta. but hopefully we'll have a good trg planned out next year so we can gain a PRICELESS experience, even without a medal.


and yah.. for openwater, ironwoman, someone please stay behind till that event ( i know shikai will be there 'cos his event is after mine) to accompany shikai and cheer for me. 'cos i'm sure i'll be first (be reminded that count doesn't start from the beginning), and when i do, at least it won't be so embarrassing with people cheering for me.

and i can imagine myself running in last, with a red cap and black goggles and my NEW gill royal blue rash guard with arena team gear underneath, exhausted and shaking my head but still with a smile on my face, and y.w. will be going, 'if you're still able to smile, it means you've not done your best!'
